 DESCRIZIONE
  COLOMBO CNC machining centers feature all those assets which enable the user to quickly meet the requirements of a very challanging market.
They can handle big production orders as well as - and above all - single orders consisting of dissimilar-size small batches.
Heavy base weight and ribwork, large-size cast-iron columns and slides with ground antifriction wearproof slideways allow use of remarkably long tenoning and profiling spindles (up to 620 mm) which can be equipped with all necessary tooling for machining various window frame types.
 ELECTRONIC CONTROL OF ALL MACHINE OPERATIONS
  Multi-axis modular COMPUTER with 10” graphic monochrome visual display unit or active matrix LCD graphic colour visual display unit for constant program check and workpiece display, dustproof alphanumeric keyboard by means of which data and cycle / program denomination can be freely entered.
RS232 PORT and/or 3” 1/2 floppy disk drive, for connection to personal computer.
Microprocessor PLC for controlling machine and diagnostic operations.
Hard-disk available.
User-friendly computer with simple yet complete operator’s menu.
Freely programmable machining sequence of workpieces.
It is possible to store over 500 work programs for machining the single workpiece completely.
Automatic changeover of tool positioning according to stored program.
  Continuous axis electronic positioning of tools by means of centesimal encoder and ball screw.
Tool positioning can be repeated with great accuracy.
  A 2 (or more than 2) sash frame can be machined completely by means of a single program or cycle.
The work carried out or to be carried out is checked at all times even when the machine comes to a halt or to a stop with possibility of restarting. 
Sequential or batch production available.
Electronic control of tenoner’s sliding table speed by means of a digital inverter; it is possible to adjust speed from 2 m/min. to 40 m/min. by means of keyboard and/or potentiometer.
Software for creating and handling work schedules with automatic calculation of all measures. The same software can be installed also in a desk-top or portable computer for connection to the machine by means of RS232 port or by floppy disk.
Graphic display of the operating tools which are being used while the workpieces are being machined.
Print-out of the various calculated lengths available, so that workpieces can be easily prepared.
Programmable automatic start and stop of motors.
